Content: The text on Verso includes all of Chapter 20 and sections of Chapters 19 and 21. The red initial ’E; begins Chapter 20:
Et locutus est Dominus ad Iosue dicens loquere filiis Israhel et dic eis. separate urbes fugitivorum de quibus locutus sum ad vos per manum Mosi. Ut confugiat ad eas quicumque animam percusserit nescius et possit evadere iram proximi qui ultor est sanguinis.
(And the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying: Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: Appoint cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you by the hand of Moses: That whosoever shall kill a person unawares may flee to them, and may escape the wrath of the kinsman, who is the avenger of blood.)
Condition: This leaf is in very good/excellent condition, sharply printed and with original margins all round. The coloured initials remain bright and unfaded. There is slight edge browning. The leaf is unconditionally guaranteed genuine. Please note that shipping costs are invoiced separately.
