Verso:  Eight  lines of music written on parchment in square and diamond shaped neumes on 5-line staves with a key signature.  The text is written in a Gothic bookhand.  Rubrics in red.  The melismas are indicated in red.  Two  initials ‘P’ and ‘G’ in blue and red with exceptionally fine penwork.

Recto:   As Verso, with another decorated initial ‘P’. Some later notations in the margin.

Content: The text on Verso includes the antiphon:

Per signum crucis de inimicis nostris libera nos, Deus noster. alleluia, alleluia.

(By the sign of the cross deliver us from our enemies,   O our god.  Alleluia, alleluia.)

Condition:   Very good condition.  The inside, top and bottom margins are irregular, but otherwise the leaf displays clear music and text and particularly fine decorated initials.    The leaf is unconditionally guaranteed genuine.
