Content:  The leaf includes prayers to the Blessed Mary and the Holy Spirit.  The first two-line illuminated initial ‘D’ begins the prayer:  Deus, qui corda fidelium Sancti Spiritus illustratione docuisti: da nobis in eodem Spiritu recta sapere; et de eius semper consolatione gaudere. (O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation).  The second ‘D’ then begins the prayer, (concluded on Verso): Deus, qui salutis aeternae, beatae Mariae virginitate fecunda, humano generi praemia praestitisti: tribue, quaesumus; ut ipsam pro nobis intercedere sentiamus, per quam meruimus auctorem vitae suscipere, Dominum nostrum Iesum Christum, Filium tuum.  (O God, who, by the fruitful virginity of blessed Mary, hast bestowed upon mankind the reward of eternal salvation: grant, we beseech Thee, that we may experience her intercession, through whom we have been made worthy to receive the author of life, our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son).

Condition:  This leaf is in overall very good condition. There are a couple of areas with slight surface soiling and the edges of the leaf are browned, but these blemishes are largely masked off by the matt. The illuminations are in fine condition with bright colours and gilding.

The leaf is unconditionally guaranteed genuine.
